Now you are thinking" but Santa comes down the chimney." You are
right, most of the time. Sometimes there are no fireplaces, people live in
lots of homes that have no way for Santa to get in but the door.
Sometimes a front door,sometimes a back door,
sometimes a side doors.  They all seem to be locked.
Now Santa can't carry ten bazillion keys so he has to
use some magic to put into a key that will open all doors.
The Elf in charge of that is Elfton John. Elfton has been the
head key elf for a long time, two hundred and twelve years.
Before Elfton was the Keeper his father Huey was in charge.
Huey trained Elfton so when it was to hard for him to climb up
and down the bookcases checking the names and addresses
and storing the keys, some one  in the family could take over.
Huey still helps with  key polishing and writing in the address
books but Elfon is the Elf  in charge of the Keys now .  He reports to
Santa and he has several elves that work for him. He isn't
married yet but he says maybe on of these years. His hobbies
are playing Kee-Kee , an outdoor Elf game,
(If you want to learn more about it you can click HERE .)
and playing  the piano when the other elves sing.
We got him to sit still a moment for this Elf Days Photo..
